Do you use PTFE (or Teflon®)? Do you actually know what PTFE is?

Did you know that PTFE (Teflon®) is manufactured by Dupont (the only manufacturer of PTFE Polymer raw material).

Did you also know that Dupont is clearly states that PTFE is NOT meant to be used in any medical application, and if you tell them you are going to use it on medical, they won’t sell it to you! So not only are you going against manufacturer guidelines you may be putting you body or your clients body at risk.

If you are a supplier or piercer who supplies PTFE to a client according to U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals KEALOHA v E I DU PONT you are liable for any harm done to your client.

Do not put your clients health at risk and do not risk possible future litigation by using unsafe products. Generally manufacturers warn against usage for a very good reason.

On 30 January 2006 Australian Television program " A Current Affair " highlighted the problem of Teflon and its potential harms.
